This time, we were shocked, beyond everyone’s expectation, Lightspeed Mifo got a big win 39-36 over the king– The Wreckin’s Crew.
The game was set to begin at six. Both two teams did a warm-up exercise before the game and every player seemed has been well-prepared. When the clock struck six, the ‘battle’ began. Things started with two free throws, The Wreckin’s Crew took a 6-0 run first by taking their good advantage of excellent coordination.
However, only after the ten minutes, Lightspeed Mifo bounced back to take a 7-6 lead through their good teamwork and great efforts. I can’t point out the characters of each player in Lightspeed Mifo and perhaps if they are separated in different groups, we may not see such shining power, but when they gathered together, there is no doubt that they would show us the wonderful performance and fantastic cooperation. As the time went by, Lightspeed Mifo maintained the lead throughout the first period.
Lightspeed Mifo went into halftime with a 23-16 lead.
Something happened in the second half. Gap are narrowed by some fast breaks, Luck’s fadejumper shots and David’s several rebounds. For Lightspeed Mifo appears never give up, they still paid full attention on and did hard work through the whole game. Although The Wreckin’ s Crew kept catching the scores, they failed. When there’s three minutes and thirty seconds left, the game was in a tie of 36 points.
It occurred that we would went into OT.
But every minute, things gotta change beyond our control and imagination.
During crunch time, Brad hit two monster threes. His second shot flushed its way around and around and around and around the rim. And then, he used foul strategy as well, which helped team win today’s game with 39-36.
I have to say that the sprit of Lightspeed Mifo is deserved all of us to learn, not only for the wonderful game they brought to us, but also for their great passion to the basketball and the consideration of teamwork (something like man to man talk) haha.
And we should also admit that The Wreckin’s Crew is a competitive team, as an old saying goes ‘ failure is the mother of success’.
Hope to see the better performance of both two good teams in the next ground.
